Robert E. Martz, 48, of Sunland, Calif., a native of this community died Monday in his home of an apparent heart attack. He had been ill since April. Mr. Martz was employed by Lockheed. Born Sept. 25, 1926, near Crawfordsville, he was a son of Walter and Ina Wills Martz. He attended Shannondale and Darlington schools in Montgomery County and also schools in Hancock County. He attended Purdue University. He was a member of the Catholic Church at Sunland. Surviving are the widow, Gretchen; a son, Robert of Sunland; and aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. H.J. Bryant of 319 S. Water St.; and cousins living in this area. Services were conducted at Sunland. – jlr
